Andrew Millison
Andrew Millison is an innovative educator, storyteller and designer. He founded the Permaculture Design education program at Oregon State University (OSU) in 2009. Andrew serves as an Education Director and Senior Instructor who offers 25 years of experience, and a playful approach to regenerative design.
Leah Venkatasen
Leah is an OSU graduate with an honors bachelor's degree in environmental science. She received her Permaculture Design Certificate as part of OSU’s Permaculture Program. Leah is passionate about permaculture as the intersection between art and science that provides a way to plan and innovate for the future.
Raleigh Latham
Raleigh has a passion for telling stories of ecosystem restoration across 12+ years of filmmaking. As a producer and cofounder of online ecology schools, he wants to show everyone that there is hope for healing our planet, as long as we take action together.

Dr. Rajendra Singh
Dr. Rajendra Singh is the founder of Tarun Bharat Sangh, and is known across the world as “The Waterman of India”. Starting as a doctor in rural Rajasthan 35 years ago, he saw how health problems were caused by drought, so he changed his focus to restoring ecosystems. 35 years later, his work and foundation has revived 7 rivers, restored water for a million people, and created tens of thousands of water bodies. He was awarded the Stockholm Water Prize in 2015.
Geoff Lawton
Geoff Lawton is a world renowned Permaculture consultant, designer and teacher. He first took his Permaculture Design Certificate (PDC) Course in 1983 with Bill Mollison the founder of Permaculture. Geoff has undertaken thousands of jobs teaching, consulting, designing, administering and implementing, in 6 continents and close to 50 countries around the world. Clients have included private individuals, groups, communities, governments, aid organizations, non-government organisations and multinational companies under the not-for-profit organisation.
Natalie Topa
Natalie Topa is a global ecosystem restoration consultant. She has worked the last 25 years establishing stable village permaculture and water systems in some of the most vulnerable areas on earth. This work has taken her 60 countries across the world, including Yemen, Sudan, Ethiopia, Congo and Tanzania. She has worked with the Danish Refugee Council and other NGO’s to bring peace to regions in conflict through ecosystem restoration.
Warren Brush
Warren Brush is a mentor, storyteller, a certified Permaculture designer. As a permaculture designer and professional, he has worked all over the world, inspiring people of all ages to discover, nurture and express their inherent gifts for restoring nature over the last 25 years. Warren also has founded numerous farms and organizations such as Quail Springs Permaculture, Casitas Valley Farm, Regenerative Earth Enterprises, and numerous others.
Darren Doherty
Darren describes himself as a 5th generation Bendigo region land manager, developer, author & trainer who has been involved in the design & development of well over 3000, mostly broadacre projects across 6 continents in more than 50 countries, ranging from 1 million hectare cattle stations in Australia’s Kimberly region to 110,000 acre Estancia’s in Patagonia.
John D Liu
John wears many hats, but works mainly as a Journalist, Filmmaker, Ecologist, Writer, and Public Speaker.
Since 1979, John has been an ecological filmmaker, covering ecosystem restoration stories such as the Leoss Plateau in China. His work in ecosystem restoration has taken him to 90 countries and 6 continents, and led to iconic films such as “The Lessons of the Loess Plateau”, ““Hope in a Changing Climate”, and “Green Gold – Regreening the Desert”.

Elham Abbadi
Elham R. Alabbadi founder of albalqa innovation institute president of Bayoudha village farmers' cooperative which was founded by her great grandfather since 1962.
A Jordanian environmental pioneer from Bayoudha village. AlBalqa governerate. An entrepreneur in permaculture, farming and livestock production that is committed to providing innovative solutions to assist her local community in the village of Bayoudah.
Rhamis Kent
Rhamis Kent is a consultant with formal training in mechanical engineering (University of Delaware, B.S.M.E. ’95) and permaculture-based regenerative whole systems design serving as a registered certified Permaculture Design instructor with PRI Australia. He is a former co-director of the Permaculture Research Institute (PRI), a member of Permaculture Sustainable Consulting Pty Ltd (PSC), and on the Supervisory Board of The Netherlands-registered non-profit Ecosystem Restoration Camps. He has taught Permaculture on nearly every continent on earth.
Rhamis has taught Permaculture Design Courses and directed consultation projects. on nearly every continent, in some of the most arid regions on earth.
Andrew Millison
Andrew Millison is a permaculture designer and instructor based out of the Pacific Northwest. He has been studying, designing, building, and teaching permaculture since 1996. In 2009 Millison began teaching at Oregon State University where he currently teaches the Permaculture Design Course and an Advanced Permaculture Design Practicum. He has also taught through several other organizations including the Ecosa Institute, Prescott College, the Cascadia Permaculture Institute, as well as being a guest instructor in Permaculture courses throughout the United States.
Neal Spackman
Neal Spackman is an internationally recognized pioneer of hyperarid agroforestries. He was cofounder and Director of the Al Baydha Project in Saudi Arabia, where he lived and worked with tribes of bedouin to convert deserts into savannahs. Currently Neal directs Regenerative Resources Company, which creates global projects for creating productive coastal ecosystems and economies with mangrove planting. Neal is a Stanford Business School graduate and the cofounder of the Sustainable Design Masterclass.
Zach Weiss
Zach Weiss is the Protégé of revolutionary Austrian farmer Sepp Holzer, Zach is the first person to earn Holzer Practitioner certification directly from Sepp - through a rigorous two-year apprenticeship working on projects in North America and Europe. Zach is also the founder of Water Stories, an online water cycle restoration education and training platform.
Penny Livingston-Stark
Penny Livingston-Stark is internationally recognized as a permaculture teacher, designer and speaker. Penny has been teaching and working professionally in the land management, regenerative design, and permaculture development field for 25 years and has extensive experience in all phases of ecologically sound design and construction as well as the use of natural non-toxic building materials. She specializes in site planning and the design of resource-rich landscapes integrating, rainwater collection, edible and medicinal planting, spring development, pond and water systems. Penny co-manages a 17-acre certified organic and certified salmon-safe farm in Bolinas, California.
Minni Jain
For over 25 years Minni Jain has been working with communities to regenerate their landscapes and lives. As Operations Director of the Flow Partnership she works on community-led management of floods and droughts using simple, low-cost traditional methods. She coordinates Waterways World– a practical water school of landscape regeneration skills and methods to achieve replenishment of the world’s water bank and has also helped set up the One Pond Fund to enable communities worldwide to resource their water projects.
Ray Archuleta
Ray Archuleta is a Certified Professional Soil Scientist with the Soil Science Society of America and has over 30 years experience as a Soil Conservationist, Water Quality Specialist, and Conservation Agronomist with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). During his tenure with the NRCS Ray served in New Mexico, Missouri, Oregon, and North Carolina.
After his retirement from the NRCS in 2017, Ray founded Understanding Ag, LLC, and Soil Health Academy, LLC, to teach Biomimicry strategies and Agroecology principles for improving soil function on a national scale. Ray also owns and operates a 150-acre farm near Seymour, Missouri that he operates along with his wife and family.
Gurudas Nulkar
Gurudas Nulkar is a Professor & Head at the Symbiosis Center for Climate Change & Sustainability. He is a Sir Ratan Tata Post-Doctoral Fellow at Institute for Social and Economic Change, Bangalore, and an Endeavour Executive Fellow, Government of Australia, Deakin University, Melbourne. He has 20 years of sustainable research experience, and 12 years of sustainable teaching experience.
Brenda Smola Foti
Brenda Smola Foti is an artist and farmer. She now operates Tabula Rasa Farms in the Willamette Valley, Carlton Oregon. Brenda comes from many generations of farming in her background. She has created a farm that utilizes various water capture methods. The farm also runs a pastured Irish Dexter beef program, along with American Guinea hogs and layer chickens using sustainable and regenerative farming principles of Salatin, Holzer,and Savory. Brandon Maka’awa’awa
Brandon Maka’awa’awa is the Vice President of the independent Nation of Hawaii. He assists President Dennis Bumpy Kanahele in the day to day operations of Pu’uhonua O Waimanalo, the Nation’s sovereign land base in which they are restoring the ancient and modern technology-enabled Ahupua’a ecosystem. Brandon also leads Nation of Hawaii’s delegation to the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, where he has given many interventions on Hawaiian National Sovereignty, peaceful coexistence, reconciliation, indigenous economic development and innovation.
Neil Bertrando
Neil has a passion for enriching bioregions and cultivating ecologies. He holds degrees in Biology and Environmental Science. He is the owner of RT Permaculture, an ecological design and education firm specializing in effective and regenerative landscapes. With over 12 years experience in ecological design and watershed restoration, Neil’s projects commonly include integrated water harvesting agroforestry systems, homestead production gardens with season extension, medicinal pollinator habitats, and ecological restoration.
Jeff Adams
Jeff Adams is owner-operator of TerraSophia, an ecological design consulting, landscape contracting, and watershed restoration business based in Moab UT. Jeff has over 20 years of experience designing and implementing permaculture systems specializing in integrated water harvesting and low tech erosion control.
Brock Dolman
Brock Dolman is a permaculture professional, the founder of Occidental Arts and Ecology Center, and a lifelong campaigner for restoring Beaver across North America. Brock weaves his knowledge of natural and indigenous water management systems into his campaigns for restoring beaver, and protecting California’s rural areas from drought, flood and fire.
Kate Lundquist
Kate is a conservationist, educator, ecological artist and wildland tender. Kate collaborates with landowners, communities, conservation organizations and resource agencies to repair and protect their watersheds and local species. She is the co-director of the OAEC, and the Bring Back the Beaver campaign in Sonoma County.
Satyajit Bhaktal
Satyajit is a nationally renowned Indian TV and Film director, and the CEO of the PAANI Foundation. Through PAANI, he has dedicated years of his life to restoring water systems throughout the state of Maharashtra India. Paani has created some of the largest community driven water management projects anywhere on Earth, and holds a yearly event called “The Water Cup”.
Lucio Usobiaga
Lucio is the cofounder and sustainable agriculture director of Arca Tierra in Mexico City. After working on small scale organic agriculture systems the last 12 years, Lucio’s mission is to grow and revive the ancient Chinampa systems of Mexico City into a global model for thriving, regenerative food production.
Dr. Dodick Gasser
Dodick Gasser is a research scientist in applied ecology and environment with over 20 years of experience in applied research with organizations in forest ecology, silviculture, sustainable forest management, natural resources management, waste management, agriculture & land use planning. He has undertaken extensive environmental and agricultural research projects over his career. He leads a team that applies and develops several methodologies to characterize natural assets, assess ecosystem services and plan nature-based solutions.
Stéphanie Paradis-Léger
Stéphanie Paradis-Léger is a graduate student for a Master in Natural Resource Management at the University of Sherbrooke in Quebec, Canada. Multidisciplinary background in agriculture and international cooperation. As a passionate researcher for ecosystem function and water cycle restoration, she has been collaborating with the CCNB-INNOV research center to assess natural and nature-based flood mitigation strategies for the Rivière-à-la-Truite watershed.
